Transforming your pet’s behavior problems with effective, practical solutions.
Steps to Transformation
Step 1: Behavior Assessment
Our training always begins with a behavior assessment. This is done via Zoom for dogs and cats with behavior concerns or in-person for puppies under 10 months old. During the assessment, we observe how you and your pet interact and we review your pet’s behavior history and your training goals. We end by introducing management strategies that you can start, discuss our observations and present a training plan. You will have a better understanding of your pet and feel confident moving forward with training. Price: $250 (+$50 for more than 2 dogs in home)
Frequently Asked Questions

Rest assured we never deliberately try to make your pet feel fearful or show aggressive behavior, or any of the behaviors that might be the reason why you are reaching out for help, whether we see you in-person or virtually. We don’t need to see the behavior to understand why it’s happening and how to help you. We rely on the behavior history you provide us, videos you’re able to share with us, any observations we can make of your dog’s normal state. The most important thing that helps us understand your pet is our knowledge of animal learning and how fear and aggressive behavior develop. We use all this information to create behavior modification plans that help you and your pet.

Virtual assessments and training sessions actually have advantages over in-person training for some issues. We started offering virtual sessions at the beginning of the pandemic because it was the only option. Then we realized virtual assessments were actually much more effective than the in-person assessments we had been doing. It is more effective with anxious, aggressive, or reactive dogs because we can get more information without a stranger in the room. It lets us see your pet in their natural state when they are not highly agitated. We can also start the learning process quickly, instead of waiting for your pet to get comfortable with one of our staff.
Step 2: Enroll in a Training Package
After completing your behavior assessment, our professionals will recommend one of our training plans for your pet. We have customized plans for puppies, dogs and cats.
Our overall goal with training is to always address the underlying stress and emotions that cause unwanted behavior (barking, lunging, growling, biting, uncontrollable behavior, etc.). We reintroduce dogs to their stressors at a pace they can handle by creating positive associations to things that cause a dog distress or panic.

Types of Training Sessions
We can work with you and your pet in different ways, depending on your pet’s needs. Your behavior professional will suggest the best combination of these options at your assessment. This will depend on your pet’s age, behavior concerns and your training goals.
Teletraining Sessions
Teletraining (virtual) sessions via Zoom are the best option when pets are anxious, fearful or too distracted by the presence of a trainer. It is also ideal for clients outside our travel area.
In-Person Sessions
In-person sessions occur in your home, in your yard, in the neighborhood and in public locations. We meet at the locations associated with your training plan.
Hybrid Sessions
When your training plan calls for a helper, either an assistant or a helper dog, your behavior professional will meet with you via Zoom and your session is supplemented with an assistant trainer or a helper dog at the training location.
